We stayed here for 3 nights, choosing the hotel because it is so close to the main sights , just a few yards from Merrion Square, and it also has self-parking available, shared but covered and secure, a few minutes walk away.. The parking worked well for us. The hotel has a dramatic frontage, but is rather bland inside. We had an Executive Room, which was large and very comfortable, with an excellent bed and bathroom. The Executive Lounge on the top floor is nothing special, however, with no window. We ate in the 1863 Lounge, which is an informal bar/dining room, and the food was good. Breakfasts were very good with, for example, fresh orange juice available. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay.

This is not luxury hotel. The lobby is sad and average. The gym is in another hotel. The amenities in room are non excisting. No bathrobe, no minibar, no conditioner. On the bright side: The beds are wonderdul and the room is well isolated. Too expensive for what you get.

From the moment I checked in until I left the property, everyone was so nice, polite & accommodating. The hotel itself is gorgeous & right in the heart of the city center. I can't wait to come back & stay here again as it is the nicest hotel i have ever stayed at.
